Around the World – Recipe from David Embury’s ‘The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks’

1 part Green Creme de Menthe 

2 parts Pineapple Juice 

8 parts Gin 

Shake with cracked or crushed ice. Decorate with a green cherry.

Still don’t have green cherries, and I wonder if this is where the drink gets its name from.

the drink is palatable enough if perhaps a little forgettable, the crème de menthe and the pineapple working well again, and with the gin it’s a little lighter than rum.

It works ok, just not particularly amazing.
